2020 AGM and Prizegiving

Aug 11, 2020Event Results, Newsletter

Our 2020 AGM was held on Saturday 1st August.

Good attendance thank you and we got underway on time.
Reports from our Records Officer Cam, NZSFC rep Terry, and President Dave were presented.
We also had the pleasure of Steve the new NZSFC CEO addressing our Club and being around for questions and comments.
The subsequent prizegiving really filled the place up. Lots of toddlers again this year, so good to see the youngsters in the mix.
There’s AGM minutes available for anyone interested. In brief though: membership numbers are steady at around 300, good tournament results, and pretty much the same exec committee.
Membership fees were resolved to remain the same for another season.
Catering was prepared by Daniel & Renee and appreciated by the crowd.
All in all we’re a strong club with established successful events, and we look forward to another year of sharing these with you.
Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates on the Sunday Snapper Slap and the jackpotting membership draw on those Sundays. Yes, the regular monthly longest snapper competition continues as well.

Huge thanks to our generous sponsors Hunting & Fishing New Zealand Warkworth Matakana Marine and Mahurangi Marine LTD . Thanks also to Dan Kitchen and Bar Sandspit Yacht Club and the team for the epic food and cold drinks and to Carol Brown for filling in at the measure in.

10KG 2022

There was almost exactly the same excellent turn out for the 10kg tournament 2022 as last year, and again the face of an untidy forecast. But Saturday arvo was a good reminder of why we do this — the wind dropped, fish were biting, the sun was hot, and drinks were...
